Consumers are left in the dark about many contaminants found in cannabis. The current standards for cannabis safety are often not met or are inconsistent.
ECCO offers independent, third-party testing and certification to determine compliance and adherence to our safety, quality, and environmental standards. Our brands carry the ECCO mark at retail, allowing customers to make clear choices that benefit their personal health and safety.
Brands submit a form to determine their initial and monthly dues for ECCO certification, which covers product assessments and marketing support within the ECCOsystem.
ECCO schedules a call with the brand to discuss the evaluation start date, onboarding fee, monthly dues, and desired products for certification.
ECCO purchases two product SKUs from a retailer, sends them for third-party lab testing, and reviews results within seven days to determine if they meet certification standards.
*Manufacturers will be required to submit to ECCO an R&D Certificate of Analysis report conducted with labs Infinite or Anresco that passes ECCO Certification Standards each month. Contaminans and passed
Products that pass are awarded the ECCO certification, allowing the brand to use the ECCO mark for 12 months on those products, with certification results published online for transparency.

Each month, ECCO purchases two certified brand products from brick-and-mortar retailers and submits them for third-party lab testing to ensure continued compliance.
