ECCO certified brands and retailers commit to higher standards of consumer safety, product quality, and environmental responsibility.
ECCO is a non-profit organization raising the bar on consumer and brand safety by establishing a voluntary certification for products that are tested for 100+ contaminants on a monthly basis. We replicate the user experience to better evaluate and raise environmental and ethical standards in consumer goods and medicine.
Areas of Focus:
Cannabis, Psychedelics, Food and Beverage
Consumers are left in the dark about many contaminants found in their products and there is a growing concern on the health consequences from exposure.
ECCO offers independent, third-party testing and certification to determine compliance and adherence to our safety, quality, and environmental standards. Our members carry the ECCO mark, allowing customers to make clear choices that benefit their personal health and safety.
Company submits a form to determine their initial and monthly dues for ECCO certification, which covers product assessments and marketing support within the ECCOsystem.
ECCO schedules a call with the company to discuss the evaluation start date, process, and desired products for certification.
ECCO begins third-party lab testing, and reviews results to determine if they meet certification standards.
*Manufacturers will be required to submit an R&D Certificate of Analysis report conducted with ECCO approved labs that passes ECCO Certification Standards each month.
Once they pass the standards, they are awarded the ECCO certification, allowing the brand to use the ECCO mark for 12 months on those products, with certification results published online for transparency.
Certified companies can proudly use the ECCO logo on certified products and stores.
Each month, ECCO will randomly audit certified members for testing and compliance.
Companies will receive a form 30 days before their certification expires to determine re-enrollment for the next 12 months and to issue a new certificate.
